Welcome back returning families! To our kindergarten and new families, welcome to the Healey! You are joining a special community of outstanding and dedicated administrators, staff, teachers, and families. While we know things look quite different this year and there are many challenges that make it hard to envision what the 20-21 school year will bring, we want you to know Healey Families remains committed to supporting the Healey community and enriching the school experiences of all of our students.
Healey Families is an integral part of our school. Healey Families consists of two organizations (PTA and Friends of Healey) that work together to benefit all of our students. The PTA hosts fun community building events and supports both teachers and students throughout the year. The Friends of Healey funds school enrichment events, with a focus on educational off-site learning programs.

Look for information from us through Principal Cobbs and your child(ren)’s teacher. We also encourage everyone to join the Healey Families Facebook Page. We have been thinking about some alternative formats of our successful events from past years: virtual lunchtime concerts, zoom math bingo, virtual literacy night, mobile book fair, etc. We’ve been trying to think outside the box so stay tuned!

We have both PTA and Friends of Healey board positions open – Would you like to be on the planning end of community building? NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. WE BELIEVE EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING TO ADD.
With that thought in mind, we’d like to stress that although many family members feel they cannot volunteer with Healey Families because of language barriers or they cannot be available during the day – please don’t let that discourage you. Whether you have 30 minutes or a few hours, your time, your ideas, your talents, and your voice are truly needed and appreciated – now more than ever. There are endless possibilities for family members to contribute, and we can match any time constraints and abilities to needed tasks.
