Dear Healey Community,

We are so excited to share wonderful news with you all! The Healey School was recently selected by the civic/service organization City Year (https://www.cityyear.org/what-we-do) and Cambridge based Biogen, for a “Day of Service” school beautification day. After weeks of planning, this Friday, September 13th the School will be transformed by over 100 on-site volunteers who will be completing a variety of campus improvement projects. Here are some of the highlights we’d like to share:

·         Cafeteria murals on the stage and wall,

·         Healey Pride logos on the Gymnasium walls, including a “Welcome to the Hawk’s Nest” message along the length of the gym wall,

·         Fresh paint on all the Back Lot game and play areas, as well as bench seating and picnic tables,

·         Upgrades to the Faculty Lounge,

·         Inspirational quotes and welcome messages painted in stairwells and landings.

We are so grateful to City Year for selecting our school, and for the support of our city leaders in this unique and exciting opportunity. Look for pictures following our exciting day!

Sincerely,

Dr. Cobbs & Mr. Glynn
